Last month Clean Juice Turkey Creek hosted an event for my blogger group, the East TN Boss Babes, for us to try out their Berry Bowl açaí bowl and teach us more about Clean Juice. Clean Juice is an organic juice bar that has over 100 locations in 16 states. It is a family owned company and they are 100% certified organic. The one in Turkey Creek is also family owned by a super sweet husband and wife duo. Be sure to give their location a follow on instagram to see their seasonal items and specials.
Along with açaí bowls, Clean Juice also offers fresh juices, salads, toast, smoothies, dairy free coffee, and cold brew coffee to name a few items. I could go on and on about their menu, but I’ll just link it here for y’all. I will also link the Clean Juice home page here so you can find your nearest location if you aren’t in the Knoxville, TN area. Be sure to follow your local Clean Juice for their specials.
While we were at Clean Juice Turkey Creek for our event they told us how they make their juices. They have two different kinds of juices, cold-pressed and fresh juices. The fresh juices are made in a blender, and because they use heat to make them, the fresh juices need to be drank that day. If you refrigerate them the produce loses its nutritional value, so you aren’t getting as much out of the juice as you could be. Since the cold-pressed juices aren’t made without heat, they stay good and fresh for a few days in the fridge. I didn’t know all that, so it was interesting to learn and thought I would share in case y’all didn’t know either. When drinking celery juice was “in” I of course wanted to try it, so I juiced some celery and then put it in the fridge……. good thing I didn’t stick with it, haha.
Besides all those yummy menu items they also have juices cleanses, which is actually what this post is about. If you couldn’t already tell by the title, haha. First, I want to share with y’all why a juice cleanse is good for you and what it does. Since I am still learning myself more about cleanses I wanted to share what is written on the Clean Juice flyer. “We all live such busy lifestyles. We can get caught up in the hustle & bustle of our day and forget to stop and give our body the attention it needs, wants, and deserves. Our cleanse program is designed to give our insides a little R&R from everything we put into our bodies in our daily lives. The main goal of the cleanse is to flood our bodies with countless vitamins and minerals, allowing the body to rid itself of toxin build-up from our usual foods and environment.” Their cleanses have 15 pounds of produce! It’s all organic too, meaning you aren’t flooding your body with pesticides that may be in other non-organic juices/produce.
Some benefits of cleansing include: rest for certain organs, boost of energy, deeper sleep, mental clarity, glowing skin, hair, and nails, intense hydration, desire to eat healthier post-cleanse, improved mood, weight loss, more regulated colon, and reduce in bloating.
Down below I am going to put all the juices that are in the cleanses along with their ingredients and specific benefits. I will also put the different cleanse options Clean Juice offers as well as the pricing and calories. Before I get into all the details about the juices and the cleanse options though, I wanted to share my experience with y’all. I’m not going to lie, it was tough! I love food, so it was very hard for me not to eat anything. They said if you have to eat a snack to eat plain, organic walnuts or almonds, which is another challenge for me because I don’t like nuts. I did it though! I didn’t eat anything but a handful of almonds, so I was very proud of myself. It did help that one of my blogger friends Erica did it with me so we could cheer each other on. It was nice having that accountability partner! I also loved seeing which juices she loved and hated. I will let y’all know my favorite and least favorites down below after I explain each juice, so be sure to keep reading! As far as the next day, it was hard to tell if I was energized because I didn’t get much sleep the night I did the cleanse, so that made me sad. Erica said she was very energized though. The biggest difference I could tell with myself was my skin! It looked so good and glowy and for me, if I had to choose between glowy skin and energy, I would pick glowy skin every time! One thing I thought was interesting when I woke up the next morning I wasn’t hungry! I figured I would be starving but wasn’t. This is probably tmi, but I had a few people ask me about the restroom situation so……….I peed sooooooooo much! I would say probably about every 20ish minutes and I only pooped a few times the day of the cleanse. My stomach was a little upset the next day, but it wasn’t an emergency situation, if you know what I mean. I actually eat pretty healthy most of the time, so I think that’s why my stomach wasn’t that upset. Keep in mind that everyone is different and everyone has a different experience and results. It just depends on your body and your eating habits. I also want to mention that they don’t guarantee that you will lose weight, but it is something that may happen for some people.
I have wanted to do a juice cleanse for a while now but I just never did, and after visiting Clean Juice and hearing exactly how good it is for your body made me want to even more. I decided to do my cleanse after I got back from the beach because I didn’t eat that healthy, so it was perfect to clean my body of all that bad food and toxins to start fresh with my meal plan after vacation. They say it’s good to do a cleanse at least once a month, just to keep all the vitamins in your body and get rid of the toxins that build up not only from food but from the environment. I definitely want to do another one now that I know I can do it and I want to pay more attention to how I feel the next time.
Now that I shared my 1 Day juice cleanse experience and why cleansing is good for you, I want to share the juices that are in the cleanses from Clean Juice. After you read about them all and the ingredients I’ll share what juices I liked the most and which ones I liked the least. They are also in order on how you would drink them during your cleanse.

My number one favorite juice was definitely the orange, #2. I had bought that one the day we visited Clean Juice and immediately loved it. I could drink that one every single day. My second favorite was probably the white one, #6, because it tasted like the milk left over from cinnamon toast crunch cereal if that makes sense? So good! My least favorite was hands down the red juice, #5. To me it tasted like they took a beet from the ground dirt and all and put it in the bottle. If you like beets you would probably like it, but I don’t and I didn’t like it, haha. Erica liked it and said it tasted like berries, so I hope I don’t discourage y’all from doing it, haha. The only other one I had a problem with was the yellow juice because it had cayenne in it. I am the biggest wimp with spicy stuff and it wasn’t really that spicy, but it did burn a little going down. Other than those, I liked the others. Be sure to go to my instagram and check out my juice cleanse highlight because I saved my stories of the day I did it so you get my real reaction of each juice. It’ s pretty hilarious.
