Getting prepared- I normally wash my face in the shower, but if I’m just ready to go to bed I will wash my face in the sink. No matter how tired I am, I will ALWAYS wash my face before bed. If you sleep in your makeup it ages you faster. Your skin repairs itself at night, so if you have makeup on it can’t make room for new skin if that makes sense. I do have a video talking all about skincare that I will link here if yall want to check it out.

Anyways, I know I’m not the only one who hates washing your face at the sink because water gets EVERYWHERE! Well, these wrist bands are awesome and keep the water from trailing down your arms!

Step 1 | Cleanse- I am currently using the Sanitas lemon cream cleanser as my daily/nightly. For my active cleanser, which means is has stronger ingredients so you don’t need to use everyday, I use the beta clarifying cleanser also by Sanitas. I do have a discount code with Sanitas for 15% off, it’s Alicia15. I also use SkinCeuticals glycolic gel cleanser as another active cleaner. I will switch between the two on my active days which are about twice a week.

After you wash you face, wash it a second time. This is called double cleansing. The first wash is getting any makeup or “the day” off, the second is to actually cleanse your face.

Step 2 | Serum- With skincare a good rule of thumb is thinnest to thickest, so you want to start with your serums. I am currently using the Sanitas vitarich serum. If you couldn’t tell Sanitas is my favorite skincare, lol. (It’s just what works for my skin.) Thinner products have smaller molecules so they penetrate the skin deeper, so serums are a great way to work on specific skin concerns such as texture, dark spots, dullness, etc.

Step 3 | Eye Cream- I like to let my serum soak in, so I go ahead and do my eye cream. I really like the Sanitas peptiderm eye treatment, but I am currently out so I have been using this travel size Peter Thomas Roth water drench eye cream. The water drench collection is really lightweight and hydrating. Ulta and Ulta at Target have a 3-piece travel set with the eye cream, serum, and moisturizer for $15.

Step 4 | Moisturizer- Next in the video I do my moisturizer, which is the Sanitas vitamin c moisturizer. Vitamin c helps to brighten your skin and also helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots.

Step 5 | Lotion- You may be wondering why I put this step in here. I just recently got the wing tattoo, so I want that one and my other tattoos to stay looking good, therefore every night I put lotion on them all. My tattoo artist recommended the lubriderm unscented lotion, so that is what I personally use.

This post may be a little longer than yall anticipated, but I wanted to share the products I used in each step along with an explanation and/or other options. If you have any questions about the products, my routine, or skincare questions in general don’t be afraid to reach out!
